The Supreme Court Friday night “blocked a redistricting plan for Texas drawn by a panel of federal judges.”
I’ve got to run off, and the issue is far from settled, but this is good news for the rule of law, and bad news for liberals wanting to abuse the court system to get what they want despite voters rejecting them again and again.
[Edited to add: Crappy, hastily written headline now rewritten to make it clear this was a U.S. Supreme Court stay, not the Texas Supreme Court, which is obviously holds no sway over a U.S. District Court. – LP]

I hope this meas Michael Williams will still run for U.S. Rep. I further hope Roger Williams fails to take notice. I’d be happy to have a real man like Michael in congress and wanted him in the Senate as my first choice. Roger strikes me as a member of the new castrati of which we already have one in the senate. I don’t see RW fighting like a junk yard dog for the principles of Liberty. Neither does Cornyn.
The oral argument is on Monday. I cheated and used a Cato article for a short post, but somebody should do a summary of what’s at stake. You. Please.
