    Along with the “deboost” some profiles get the Troll Twilight Zone treatment, meant to “confuse and demoralize” by randomly logging the person out of Facebook, or cancelling a photo upload, or throttling their bandwidth with the site

    The Facebook insider showed how certain words trigger their internal assessment of deserving such treatment; I’m confident “deboost” Will be such a trigger word.

    Tim Pool have further insightful analysis of how the above “features” inside Facebook work, as well as discussion of tactics at other online services and the divisive effect this has on society.

    Sometimes, they go after the money: PayPal, Stripe, Patreon, and even Chase Bank have at times shut down transaction services based on ideological content … sometimes, while working with the Southern Poverty Law Center. Because … what, the SPLC is neutral? Are you kidding me?!

    Tim Pool’s YouTube channel has done deep dives into Twitter’s malfeasance in the past, and his recent interview with Joe Rogan is astonishing. I’ll see if I can find the links.
