Today the Washington Post announced that it was putting money-losing news magazine Newsweek up for sale. You may remember Newsweek‘s decision a couple of years ago to remake itself as a liberal opinion magazine (something ably lampooned by the indispensable Iowahawk). Since then, Newweek has managed the amazing feat of actually losing readers faster than most legacy media.
Of course, that brings up an interesting question: Which left-wing news outlet would you most like to see go out of business first? To that end, I’ve created a poll:

As much as I detest the NYT, it does have some well written, interesting pieces that occasionally aren’t drenched in left wing PC. As for MSNBC, even though it drives my boyfriend crazy, I find it more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I never met people as smug as Rachel Maddow or Keith Olberman until my brief stint at Columbia. It was fun teasing the J-School kids while I majored Manhattan Night Life. MSNBC has the added advantage of possibly sucking huge amounts of money from NBC’s budget. Let’s face it; their prime time schedule isn’t propping them up anymore.
