Having utterly and spectacularly failed at preventing Donald Trump’s second term, the loony leftists in the Democratic Party are gradually shedding their Trump Derangement Syndrome for other targets upon which to demonstrably and irrationally vent their spleen. Vance Derangement Syndrome raged for a while, but it seems that the left has settled on Musk Derangement Syndrome as the best way to demonstrate their ludicrous, self-defeating behavior. So much so that Doug Ross compiled a list of Top 20 Violent Anti-Musk Protests: The Unhinged Left’s Greatest Hits.
This instance of Musk Derangement Syndrome (or MDS) isn’t on that list, and isn’t as violent as the incidents on that list, but is somehow even more sad and pathetic. Some supergenius has wired a projector to his car to project disparaging remarks on random cybertrucks. “When the creators find a Cybertruck, they tailgate it and project the messages on the back tailgate panel, using it as a makeshift canvas.”
Why yes, driving around looking for random Cybertrucks to tailgate sounds like a supersmart use of your time.
Here’s an example of the witty, sophisticated bon mots they’re projecting.
Why yes, that’s the problem, you simply didn’t call people who disagree with your politics Nazis hard enough. Doubling down on that will surely make your agenda of child mutilation, trannies in women’s sports, open borders and wasting taxpayer money to secretly fund the far left super popular.
Indeed, other than performative asshatery and perhaps rear-ending someone, it’s hard to figure out what this high tech but low thought japery is supposed to accomplish. Do they actually believe that the richest man in the world will be intimidated by their low-wattage light show? Indeed, what do any of the miscreants committing vandalism and arson against Tesla cars and infrastructure think they’ll accomplish? Make him worth only $300 billion rather than $301 billion? Is the performative seal-clapping applause of their fellow radicals worth the risk of time in jail? Do they think setting businesses on fire is the surefire way to win the hearts and minds of the American voters who so roundly rejected them in 2024?
It’s a puzzler…
